Risk management and drafting effective contracts are crucial for small firms and sole practitioners. Poor contract terms can result in costly disputes, delays and conflicts.
Join us as we explore contractual provisions that are essential to small firms, how to use contracts effectively, and how to access available resources and practice tools. Hear from experts and practitioners as they discuss common challenges small firms face and how to use contracts to properly allocate risks and responsibilities to achieve a successful project.

Attendees will gain an understanding of related documents targeted to projects of a more limited scope, such as for residential and light commercial projects.  Attendees will also examine the new Sustainable Projects Exhibit and explore how it can provide a positive impact on health, safety and welfare of building occupants.

Learning Objectives:

2. Learn about key contract issues of particular interest to small firms and sole practitioners that can lead to successful and safe completion of a construction project.
3. Become familiar with the new Sustainable Projects Exhibit in order to understand how contract documents can facilitate the provision of sustainability services and the achievement of sustainability goals on a project.
